Local players singled out at Baseball Northwest tournament

Infielder Tyler Campbell of Lake Oswego High School was chosen most valuable player and Zach Brill of Lakeridge High School was chosen most outstanding pitcher at the class of 2012 Pacific Northwest regional tournament staged last week by Baseball Northwest.

Campbell and Brill played for the Oregon team, one of 12 in the tournament.

Brill, a 6-foot-4 left-hander, pitched six no-hit innings in the championship game, a 1-0 Oregon victory.
