ORE GIRLS: Haley Fauvelle Commits to Savannah CAD

November 5, 2009
By Ian Lamont of Lakeridge High School

Lakeridge senior attack Haley Fauvelle has committed to play NAIA lacrosse at the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Fauvelle also considered Pacific, Oregon State and Oregon before settling on the Georgia-based school. She said she chose SCAD, "because of the community, the town and the lacrosse team."

"The players on the team were very welcoming and very nice," Fauvelle added. "The coach was very nice, and the college had the degree I was looking for."

Fauvelle said going from Oregon to Georgia will be a major change, but it's one she is excited to make.

"I think it will be very different and difficult, but from what I've heard, you don't really have time to think about home very much," Fauvelle said. "You're on the go between classes and lacrosse, and I'm kind of ready for something different."
