Jr. Lady Bobcats win at home
November 10, 2009 Flippin High School
Thursday night the Flippin Jr. Lady Bobcats ran their record to 6-2 on the year as they defeated the Jasper Lady Pirates 28-11 at Flippin. The game started slow as neither team could seem to get the ball in the basket and the first quarter ended 6-2 in favor of Flippin. The Lady Bobcats continued their good defense as they went in to half time with a 15 to 4 lead. The Lady Bobcats held Jasper to 7 points in the second half to put the victory away for the home team.
Amanda Whitman scored 11 pts for the lady bobcats while Kaylee Wood added 5 before going down to an injury. Bayley Politte and Hannah Davis scored 4 each while Courtney Martin and Corrina Riggs added two points apiece. Hannah Davis also did a good job on the boards, gathering 9 rebounds and Bayley Politte added 5 more. Amanda Whitman led the team in steals with 6. The jr. girls will play at home again on Friday Nov. 13th as Flippin will battle Western Grove in a three game night with the sr. boys and sr. girls.
Congratulations to the Flippin Jr. Lady Bobcats and keep up the hard work. |
