Posted: 11/08/2009 Hi Everyone, It was a great day for the Oak Ridge cross country teams at the subsection meet on the hilly course at Angels Camp. The varsity girls team, varsity boys team, JV girls team, and freshmen boys team qualified for the section meet. The varsity races were 3 miles and the freshmen and sophomore races were two miles. Oak Ridge is competing at the Division 1 level for the first time in the school's history. The varsity girls placed first with Davis and Lodi placing second and third respectfully. The varsity boys placed second with Davis placing first and Franklin of Elk Grove placing third. The JV girls placed first with St. Francis and Davis placing second and third respectfully. The freshmen boys placed second with Lincoln of Stockton placing first and Davis placing third. The Oak Ridge teams did very good pack running at the subsection meet. James Dutta qualified for the section meet by placing 36th in the JV boys race. Mia Brower qualified for the section meet by placing 12th in the Frosh/Soph girls race. The Trojans have twenty-nine section qualifiers. They are looking forward to competing at the section meet on Saturday, November 14th at the Willow Hills cross country course in Folsom. The freshmen boys will start off the racing at 9:00 am. Here are the subsection results for Oak Ridge.
