November 19, 2009
Genoa-Kingston High School

2009 DAILY CHRONICLE'S GIRLS GOLF ALL-AREA TEAM
First Team

Megan Gregg
Senior - Hinckley-Big Rock
Gregg earned a trip to sectionals by shooting a 93 at the Class A Rock Falls Regional, and also finished second at the Little Ten Tournament with a 97. The senior had a nine-hole average of 46.4 on the year. "Putting improved greatly from previous seasons and throughout this season," H-BR coach Todd Prellberg said. "She did a great job of minimizing bad shots and took advantage of good positioning to score well."

Kelsie Campbell
Junior - Genoa-Kingston

A key part of the Cogs' sectional qualifying team, Campbell led G-K with a 96 at the Class A Rock Falls Regional. The junior had a 48.6 nine-hole average for the Cogs. Campbell also played a number of matches on the tough course at Genoa's Oak Club. "Kelsie's really got a good short game," G-K coach Mike Lauer said. "That really keeps her scores down."

SECOND Team
Jen Hulsey, junior, Genoa-Kingston
Virginia Fillicetti, freshman, Indian Creek
Emily Wakeley, freshman, Genoa-Kingston
